Job Summary
The person in this role is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of various machines to maintain operational continuity.
Your Role on a Daily Basis
The person in this role must:
- Ensure the operation of various machines;
- Meet or exceed the company’s health and safety standards;
- Meet or exceed sanitation standards required for the work area, including weekly and preventive maintenance of assigned equipment;
- Make necessary adjustments to the equipment based on the product orders (weight, quantity, etc.) according to a specified flow rate and report any equipment issues;
- Follow best practices;
- Assist team leaders in checking and recording bag weights, losses, codes, and capturing performance indicators every half-hour and entering them into the computer.
Profile and Required Skills
- Logical and mechanical thinking, ability to understand how a machine works;
- Good physical condition (lifting 25-44 lbs up to a height of 6 feet);
- Ability to work in a cold environment (6 to 10 degrees);
- Problem-solving skills;
- Good understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (secondary 5) or equivalent;
- 2 years of experience in an operator role;
- Experience in the fruits and vegetables sector (an asset);
