Job Summary

The person in this role is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of various machines to maintain operational continuity.

Your Role on a Daily Basis

The person in this role must:

  • Ensure the operation of various machines;
  • Meet or exceed the company’s health and safety standards;
  • Meet or exceed sanitation standards required for the work area, including weekly and preventive maintenance of assigned equipment;
  • Make necessary adjustments to the equipment based on the product orders (weight, quantity, etc.) according to a specified flow rate and report any equipment issues;
  • Follow best practices;
  • Assist team leaders in checking and recording bag weights, losses, codes, and capturing performance indicators every half-hour and entering them into the computer.

Profile and Required Skills

  • Logical and mechanical thinking, ability to understand how a machine works;
  • Good physical condition (lifting 25-44 lbs up to a height of 6 feet);
  • Ability to work in a cold environment (6 to 10 degrees);
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Good understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  •  Interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (secondary 5) or equivalent;
  • 2 years of experience in an operator role;
  • Experience in the fruits and vegetables sector (an asset);
